Growing up a farmer's daughter in small town Wisconsin, curiousity has shaped how I live my life. Starting with experimenting to find the best mud to water ratio for making sculptures to how I discovered advertising to my persistance on perfecting the French macaron. I've learned being passionately curious is who I am.
WHAT I'VE DONE
I found myself in the mountains of Colorado to learn the art of Advertising. Between weeknights of drinking craft beer and weekends of music and mountains, defining my style as an account manager became my number one goal. During my time at CP+B and V&S, I've been able to explore different techniques and adaptability.
WHAT I DO
Everyone in the creative process wants the same thing. To create smart work that people want to share. I am by no means any different. My recipe to make this happen is first to get passionately curious about the brand and product. Then to learn about the people I'm working with. All while being nice, honest and elimating the bullshit.

Live tweeting during a cultural event is nothing new. So, we looked for a way to stand out with all the other brand clutter happening during the big game. We did this by sending out tweets that were slightly off when normally brands are completely buttoned up. In doing this, we were able to promote the Go USA mittens sold by JCPenney and see the highest spike in engagement from fans, non-fans and other brands.
"All About That Bass" took the world by storm when it was released. It was clean, catchy and promoted a great message about self image. We noticed a ton of young people being moved by the song and creating their own versions. We scoured the internet to find our favorite covers of the song and complied a mash-up video to thank Meghan Trainor for showing us how to embrace ourselves for who we are.
The 2014 Back to School season was all about mom's bragging about their kids. For a month, we dedicated our social channels to our fan's kids. Weekly, we update our cover art, created videos, collages and more with the UGC posted to our channels. As a result, JCP experienced top numbers in engagement.
We had the unique opportunity with Fruits & Veggies to create their very first social presence. We tapped into our inner teen and spent time auditing all different social platforms to develop a social strategy for the FNV brand. Once complete, we started creating unique and fun content for all our platforms. All while constantly gaining off the charts engagement from our community. Without using any media dollars.
Any brand has a website. FNV shouldn't be different. We did our research to find favorite features of "big brand" websites to serve as inspiration to create our own in the tounge-and-cheek voice of FNV. This was an effort of the account, creative and development team that was spread out through multiple months and phases.
There gets to a point where sometimes a brand needs a little uplift. We created a simple, unique look and feel for Applebee's to use across their brand. The largest undertaking was Applebees.com. We took this new look and tone and wiped the old site and developed a shiny new one with a more enjoyable experience for people visiting the site.
